Do candles last forever?

What do you do to keep it burning?

The wind is merciless. But you have people around, to build you a shelter so you continue burning.

People who put their hands above you, and their bodies around you regardless of how you burn them sometimes.

And you keep burning. And burning.

Yes, less brightly sometimes, but you burn all the same.

Until one day, someone comes, and takes over.

You expect the same, you hope to burn even brighter.

But when u least expected, a big PUFF comes your way, and you STOP burning.

No more flame, no more fire.

No more heat, no more warmth.

You become a cold drift, on a frosty winter night.

You shed ashes, from the remnants of the fire you once carried along the way.

But you keep smiling, a trained smile, so good that no one knows whats going on inside.

And you intend to keep it this way.

For deep inside you, you hope,

that one day, the candle you carry will be lighted again.

Until then, you will continue smiling.
