Never.. Go to work when you're sick.

I had my patient's interests in mind.

I knew they wanted their dentures made as soon as possible, and it takes 2 weeks for the lab to complete each stage.

So I drugged myself with paracetamol, and went in anyway.

All I got was " STAY AWAY from me" and so much drilling from my tutor, I came home feeling more miserable than before.

=(

Struggling to be healthy again...

Early Saturday morning I took the train up to Edinburgh to pay my dearest friend, tuapui PEI a visit for her birthday.

God knows I needed a break from the harsh realities of life. Insecurities, rejection, sorrow, heartbreak, loss of confidence, loneliness.

When you're feeling insufficient and rejection, who best to turn to, than your best girl friends?

Thank you for being there, Helen n Pei. =)

It was a SUPER fun weekend! We chatted chatted and chatted with no end, and ate ate ate nonstop! Oh and drank ALCO too =)

Lets not go to the part where I was KNOCKED OUT SO DAMN EARLY its ridiculous. I MISSED OUT ON SO MUCH! I swear next time no matter what im going to KEEP AWAKE so that I dont miss out on all the action!

NO MORE waking up at 6am, with everyone leaving the house saying, " You missed out all the ACTION, Peilian!! "

And then to 'catch-up' I had to watch VIDEOS. What the freak RIGHT? CTI. =S

No more drinking 2nights continuous. I do NOT have the stamina for it. My liver cannot take it too. Sorry, liver. Pls don't merajuk OK, I promise I'll be good from now on. =)

All I ever talk about is DENTISTRY??

Oh my gosh time really flies.

It just hit me that all I do every day is go to clinics before the sun even rises, do LOADS of HnE's, scaling and extraction, and come home after the sun goes down.

I swear if I was not taught other stuff in Dental school, I would think that dentistry is ALL ABOUT CLEANING PEOPLE's TEETH and telling them TO KEEP IT THAT WAY after.

=S Where are all the patients that NEED FILLINGS???

Ok I do realise by saying this I'm hoping for MORE people to have decayed teeth, and that, I have to say, is W.E.I.R.D.

But I AM BORED. No seriously. I AM. =S I want something 'exciting' to do. Not MORE HnE's, PLEASE. >_<

So yes, the other 'lucky' days when I get an afternoon off (like today ) I spend it in bed, SLEEPING my afternoon away!
My excuse : I have to wake up freaking EARLY to get the bus to Wythenshawe this morning OK! So I am allowed =)

Anyways today this kid came in to get his tooth extracted, and I gave him LA.. but halfway through the extraction he was screaming his head off saying its PAINFUL!

So the normal Rxn will be to stop the procedure, and give him more LA!

But the thing with kids is, they 'make stories' up, apparently?

Coz my tutor just said to him, " No, its not painful." And carried on. Omigosh HOW DO YOU TELL IF ITS A STORY HE'S MAKING UP TO MAKE US STOP, or if its TRULY PAINFUL???

If I was the kid, and it really did HURT, but everyone disregards me coz they thinK I was making some story up, I would be traumatised FOR LIFE.

But then again, to be fair, after we gave him the injection we did check the 'site', and it was properly numbed.

So yes, it was most probably a false alarm. =S

>_< Errrrrgh. Screaming kiddies scare me.

I'm sure I scare them too, with a sharp gleaming 'forcep' on my hand.
No wonder I used to hate dentists as a kid. Hahaha and I'm training to be one.

The irony of it all still never fails to amaze me.

To a friend, who has been there for me in my ups and downs throughout my four years in this foreign land.

You have seen me cry, laugh, and try to find myself all these years.

You told me in life we have our own crosses to carry. Crosses that have our names on it, but crosses that are built in a way that once in awhile someone can come and help you with it.

You helped me to see that God has made me with talents and gifts that I have never come to see or appreciate.

You helped me find the joy within myself, and to share it with the world around me.

You truly cared, you listened to my troubles, and you prayed for me dilligently.

Now that you're back home, with one of life's heaviest cross on your shoulder,

it upsets me that there is not much I can do for you.

I want to be there for you too.

But your strength and determination in carrying this burden with a smile on your face inspires me.

For I know, the Lord is with you.

Happy birthday, Karinita dearest.

My prayers are for you to continue this battle with sheer courage.

"The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble.
Those who know your name will trust in You, for You, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek You. "

(Psalm 9:9-10)

Take care, my friend.

Last night I had an unwanted visitor in my room.

I was so freaked out when I saw 'it' standing outside my door that I screamed and screamed, and almost pee-ed in my pants.

Thank GOD the window panes didn't shatter.

The evil creature tried to attack me, and because I was a 'witch', I could have easily flown away into safety with my magic broomstick.

But I COULDN'T FIND MY BROOMSTICK!!!

So I did something every witch will KILL me for : I hid behind my witch hat and timidly shoo-ed the creature away.

As you can see, no witch hat in the world would be big enough to cover me.

So the evil creature attacked.

Suddenly a cute little 'devil bride' appeared, and she came to my rescue!!

With the devil-ish powers of laughter that she possessed, she managed to scare the EVIL one into nothing-ness.

To celebrate our victory, we went on a night-out to DANCE DANCE and DANCE away!!

Hahahaha POOR 'evil creature' OLIVER. I think he must have been traumatised at our screams, that instead of scaring us we managed to scare him even more. DAMN FUNNY. *grinss*

It was really fun dressing-up in proper costumes for the first time in my life! Hahah that doesnt include the butterfly wings mummy made for me at a fancy dress competition when i was 10, coz I remember nothing from it!

Happy halloween, peeps! =)
