London =)

I'm here at the place of RED DOUBLE DECKERS n RED PHONE BOXES yet again!!!

Yes I know, I know it is still England, but LONDON is distinct in that it has SO many red phone boxes and red buses you'd think its CNY. >_<

Hehe L.A.M.E I know, I know.

It is a place where one can NEVER get bored!! So many things to see and do, you'd only wish you had more money all the time to accomodate your ( hmm correction : my ) never-ending shopping needs and quite-the-pricey london underground!

I arrived on Thursday evening, and ever since its been nonstop EAT, GO OUT and EAT again.

I'm not complaining though. Its goooooood to see yinhui ( my exroomie), helen, menaka, n eli again! =)

One can NEVER get bored of LONDON. I LOVE this place. =)

I am SUPER HIGH now after my perio viva. Dr Roberts gave me an A!! =)

For that I am, HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY. =)

Only yesterday I was feeling blue coz my friends are really leaving one by one, and Manchester feels so empty and lonely.

And the void these people leave behind is truly consuming me.

Ah, the ups and downs of life.

byebye, Meilin. =(

If I were to post every single photo that MeiLin n I took together, it would be endless. We have shared so many experiences here in Manchester, so many life changing ones, all significant in its very own way.
No more Thaibo, Badminton together. No more shopping together. No more Starbucks together. No more countless meals together. No more baking together. No more giggling and yakking together.
I can't believe it. 3 years just flew by in ablink of an eye. NO MORE?
Meilin's flying home to Malaysia for good today. I'm going to send her off at the airport later, but I'm not looking forward to it. Saying goodbye is the worst thing, the void she will leave behind will definitely consume me.
I will miss you, MeiLin, so very much. =(
My prayers for a safe journey and a wonderful future ahead.
Goodbye, my friend.

HAPPYY =)

I was awarded another sticker yesterday for a job well done =) ( you did it! one )

boy was I HAPPY!!! =) Now I have 3 stickers in my collection ( 2 'what-a-star's and 1 'you-did-it' )

I am so childish I know =S

I did a forseen to be complicated extraction on a patient yesterday, one which my tutors were worried about the crown fracturing off whilst doing it because the tooth was so badly carious , ( diseased ) leaving the roots behind. So far I've never done an extraction on my own, there is always a tutor there to help me prod n push the tooth and make it lose so I can lift it up and say OO its OUT.

But yesterday I did it on my own. =) The crown did fracture, but I managed to get the roots out intact! Muahaha PUAS. The patient was so relieved and happy, so was I.

What made it better was that when I walked back to Cons clinic from Oral surgery, the group of tutors congregating at a corner congratulated and praised me for a job well done. ( HOW DID THEY KNOW??? I found out later that my clinical partner came back to clinic earlier and told them!! )

I was beaming like crazy I felt like all my teeth were going to fall out and my jaw was going to dislocate. =) Heheh.

Okok I better stop bragging coz I'm going to annoy people.

=)

but I AM HAPPY. HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY. =)

I want to graduate TOO!!!

This week has been a frenzy of graduations of my dear dear friends, all of whom I hold close to my heart.

These people have been a huge part of my life here in Manchester, and although I am happy to see them graduate successfully with excellent results, part of me feels sad, knowing that they would leave Manchester for good after this chapter of their lives is over.

This morning I attended Meilin's graduation, as she applied extra tickets for me!

I was well excited, and it was such a happy occasion, seeing her beaming in her robe and mortar board, her parents fussing over her with so much care and love, and the obvious anticipation to receive the degree that she's been working so hard for over 3years... was all very touching.

Meilin's parents, waiting for one of the happiest moments of their lives : seeing their daughter receive a university degree.

The happy 'twirling' graduate =)

My favourite picture of the day ~ us at the lawn opposite the university main building =)
I made her a card =) and bought her some flowers =)

With a card, of course comes words, and lots of it too =) although all the words in the world would not be enough to sum up our friendship these 3 years here in the UK and beyond.

The card had my favourite photo of us 2 in it too =) with plenty of pretty stars

Another dear friend of mine, Beetroot aka Beetee also graduated this week.
I also made him a card. Cute or not? Hehe =)

Unfortunately the day he graduated I had clinics, so no photos with him and his mortar board =(
But he was still a happy graduate, so I heard. =)

My first new friend in Manchester, who was also my flatmate in Oak House Maple court, graduated too!
Lucy's parents, her nan and her sister came too, and it was soo good to see them again! I stayed with them in their big comfy house during summer of my first year, and I will never forget their hospitality! Even now they were inviting me over to their place to stay before I go back this summer =) these people are the sweetest they really go all the way to make me feel more at home in the UK =)

Her mum said to me, 'You were the first person Lucy met in Manchester, and now you're the last person she's seeing before going home for good. " Awww its nice when people remember =)

All in all its been an exhausting week, with so much artwork and celebrating to do. =)

But I'm glad these people wanted me to be part of it. It was amazing. =)

I'm so going to miss them all. =(

'football match of the year'

The sight of my tutors running around in shorts and long socks on the football pit last Friday was indeed something I won't forget!

Especially when we're so used to seeing them dressed so smartly on clinics and talking like real professionals, seeing these dentists shout in excitement whenever the ball reaches the proximity of the goal was very precious.

These men, in line, are some of the people I see every week in clinics. There's Dr. Harrison, Dr. Feldman, Dr. Mark, Dr. Martin Ashley, Dr. Roger and a few other SHOs that work in Oral surgery. There's also this Orthodontist guy in there I forgot what's his name liaw. >_<

When the match started, Dr. Devlin came in his suit and tie to support his fellow staff. =) This is one man I can never imagine in a pair of shorts and tshirt. He always seems to dress so properly all the time! =)

My coursemates and I cheered our fellow colleagues while they battle the tutors in the game, and it really was quite alot of fun!

I wish I knew how to whistle. Heheh. =)

My coursemates, enjoying the sun and entertainment provided by our beloved tutors. =)

And here is my lovely clinical partner in cons, Nadia, as we enjoy the game together.

The tutors lost in the game, but they did put up a good fight! Heheh considering they're not 'young' anymore, they did really well! =)

Later that evening I went for Oscar's themed birthday party, 'Casino Masquerade'.
The evening's dresscode was that everyone has to come with masks, and we had a 'casino-like' ambience with drinks and of course GAMBLING.

And this, was the card we gave him ( curtesy of Francisco's brilliant creativity ). He was so touched he was on the verge of tears! Awwwww =)

We hope you had a wonderful birthday Oscar! ( and don't forget my rubies >_< )

Hello INTERNET!!!

I'm still breathing and EATING, its been a great several weeks, 'living' with these peeps in Rusholme!! =) ( hahaha this photo isn't in the house OBVIOUSLY. we went for some chinese party at Area51. Which was a good night out =) )
I'm so well-fed and well-entertained I don't want it to stop. =)

Other things has been happening as well, and for once clinics took on a positive note with my new tutor, dr. mike, who has awarded me with cute stickers for a job well done! =)

For that I was extremely pleased. =)

Now that I have 2 of this cuties, I CAN'T HELP BUT WANT MORE!!!
hahaha child-ish I know, I know. =)

Another FUN thing that I did, I finally visited Fathoom at her apartment! After all the TALK FOR 3 YEARS NOW. AT LAST IT HAPPENED. =)

We made sushi, and I met her mum and sis who was visiting her from Emirates!

And I found that little 6yr olds have similar hobbies as I do : Make pumpkin faces.

Heheh. =)

I'm looking forward to seeing my tutors and my coursemates battle each other out in FOOTBALL later this evening at Armitage Centre! =)

Our Head of School, Dr. Nick Grey, Dr. Martin Ashley, Dr. Devlin, Dr. Roberts etc etc ARE ALL PLAYING! =)

Wah. Should be fun seeing them kick a ball instead of hold a DRILL or giving a tutorial on CONS, PERIO, PROS, NEEDLESTICK INJURY ( how random ) for once. =)

*excited*
